Comfort and Technical Features
Right from the production of the first Amigo, developed in close collaboration with Ron Kauk, the philosophy of making a comfortable shoe for extreme climbing, the evolution of this model has remained faithful to this challenge.
The new Amigo generation, manufactured around a more asymmetric shoe horn, is one of the most aggressive on the market. It stands out because of its comfort and excellent results with small footholds on difficult routes.
This was the shoe used by the Pou brothers in their Seven Continents project, where they completed routes as important as a first ascent on the Antarctic or their second climb of el Niño in El Capitan. Aimed at those climbers who are looking for a shoe that offers comfort under extreme climbing conditions.

Sizing Guidance: Climbing shoe size is different for every brand, and your personal preference for tightness is the biggest factor. The following recommendation is a good starting point, but it is not 100% accurate at predicting your perfect size. Take your average size for European and/or U.S. based climbing shoe brands. Your Tenaya size should be approximately 0.0 to 0.5 sizes larger than your average size in European brand shoes, or 0.5 to 1 size smaller than your average size in U.S. brand shoes. Downsize the Iati, Oasi and Tarifa 0.5 size smaller than this. Keep in mind that Tenayas will barely stretch at all, which makes sizing more predictable and consistent.
